What kind of summer in New York is it, if you don’t go to a yankees game? am i riiiight?yankees game-8980yankees game-8947yankees game-8991yankees game-8955yankees game-8968yankees game-8998yankees game-8962yankees game-8951 copyyankees game-8988 Last night was a blast.I think for the most part it felt like a right of passage as a temporary new yorker. We’re all pretty happy we went, especially since the Yankee’s won. It was really hot at the very beginning while the sun was still out, and I had made the mistake of wearing all black that day and had no time to change between work and the game, so for a good 20 minutes I was a sweaty mess. So that explains the above grumpy face. We spent the majority of the time making baseball puns and laughing at how ridiculous most of them were, as well as trying to work the play Damn Yankees into conversation because we think we’re hilarious and clever. so you could definitely put last night down as a success.

Also did i mention I’m living with 4 other girls from my program? We are pretty lucky we all got internships here in New york! It’s fun to compare what each of us has been doing at our internships, and talking about design as related to the city. It’s been a real blessing. Carrie and Nicolina (the two in the middle) are at Avon, and Hillary (cute red-head on the right) is interning at Johnson and Johnson this summer.

Anyways, until next time my favorite stalkers!

  3. Reading your blog about living in the city as an intern is giving me some serious nostalgia feels!!! Different cities, different coasts, but same same same experiences. I had about an hour and a half long commute (if you include the ferry ride that was 45 minutes which I don't because I read books and how is that a commute?) and worked from 9-6 too so I was in bed every night E A R L Y too. And felt more adult than I've ever felt ever. I seriously slacked on blog posting and taking pictures last summer but let me give you one piece of advice: keep on soakin in every little detail and observing. I may not have many pictures or documentation from my summer, but I think because I was so busy immersing myself into the city, I have a much stronger memory of it than if I was behind a camera all the time. Enjoy it! Soak it in!!! 3 months goes so fast.

  6. Any extra intern spots for an Australian? I've been falling hard for New York lately. I need to come visit. It's been too long and my love affair with that city needs to be rekindled pronto.
