Hey folks! So the surprise i mentioned in my last post was a real vlog with an actual purpose! Tonya and i were talking about how we both get a lot of questions about thrifting and so we thought we’d do a little vlog about it to answer those questions. So here is the video! if you have any more questions let me know and i’d be happy to answer them for you!
Yesterday was yet another thrifting adventure with Tonya from The Moptop! We had such a fun time, as usual. I’ve noticed that as i’ve gone thrifting more, i tend to get less everytime i go. This time i only bought a few things, but i took pictures of them so you’ll be able to enjoy them too! shirt: UO // pants: f21 // shoes: schuh (a UK brand) // bag: dad made // bracelet: niagra falls That dooney and bourke purse was such a find. I literally said to tonya 2 seconds before she spotted it “My goal someday is to find a dooney and bourke purse at a thrift store, i know two people who’ve done it… IT CAN BE DONE.” and alas. it was! score right?anyway, we made something else for you but it is still in the works so for now, just enjoy these pictures 🙂
there are few things better than pretending to be a child again. After a long day of pretty disappointing thrifting, we were not summer stoked about the day. as shown below but the phone-checking-boys. Sky, Aaron and I stumbled upon a perfect pancea for the thrifting blues. It’s called a playground. i know what your thinking… emma you’re a dumbbum. those are for kids… well in case you forgot, i AM a kid. and will remain one until i darn well please. Anywho. you might be able to tell why sky and i are such great…playmates? blog world, i give you the most ridiculous/enjoyable photo-opts childhood, never leave me.
Today I went thrifting with these cuties. It was quite fun! we started downtown and worked out way to the valley, we went to quite a few different thrift stores, and finally ended up in the mall. I do love me some shopping! and some good company indeed. I got some really wonderful finds and we had some silly times. We even ran into a street fair, oh good ole spokandyland 🙂 I bought some old photographs to have a little fun with later. i have a few ideas for art projects!
We took Brooke on an adventure of firsts. She had never had sushi, so we made sure to do that. hayley got the mango momma. it was the best sushi i have ever had in my life. thank you happy sumo. now i know how sumos get happy. We then took Brooke on her first thrifting adventure and she found an adorable lace skirt. win. we then hit up the mall (luckily that wasn’t a first for brooke) and i got some modest shorts, cause it’s probably a good idea to have those around these parts. and of course we finished the day with some froyo. TGIF my dears.
monday thrifting adventure with my buddy tonya! we had some delicious food. (as in i ate grass fed, local yak in the form of a burger) and some delicious fun, you probably know her from themoptop, cause her blog is freaking awesome. she’s got an amazing eye for vintage clothing. for starters look how freaking stylish she is! check out the details of her outfit here! by far my favorite thrifting partner in crime. why yes, she did indeed by the cat vest. jealous much? yakkity yum yummmmm hehe couldn’t escape without a good ole fisheye shot can’t wait to be back home so we can go again!
